PRELIMINARY
MARK AS BASELINE
You can mark a configuration file as a baseline file in order to compare a
running or startup configuration file with a baseline file.
To mark a file as a baseline file: From the Show History section on the right
panel, select a configuration file, right click and select “Mark as Baseline
file.” The file is marked as a baseline file.

:
If an error occurs, the administrator can always revert back to the
baselined version.
COMPARE WITH BASELINE
The ECView Pro Configuration Manager allows you to compare a
configuration file with a file that has been marked as a baseline file. To do
this, perform the following steps:
1. From the Show History section on the right panel, select a configuration
file that you want to mark as a baseline file, right click and mark the file
as a baseline file.

OTE
:
Mark the file as a baseline file only if the baselined version of the file
is different. Whenever a file is downloaded to the ECView Pro Configuration
Manager, it is marked as a baseline file by default.
2. Choose the file you want to compare with the baseline, right click and
select “Compare with Baseline.
The comparison of the two files will be displayed in the Configuration
Compare tab on the right panel.
COMPARE WITH EACH OTHER
To compare two different versions of the same type of configuration files
with each other, perform the following steps:
1. From the Show History section on the right panel, select two
configuration files.
2. Right click and select “Compare with each other.
The comparison of the two files will be displayed in the Configuration
Compare tab on the right panel.

:
This option is activated only if there are two or more files displayed
in the Show History section.
