PRELIMINARY

◆ Event Viewer panel — The Event Viewer panel displays all the latest

trap events received. It shows the properties of each event such as the

source, severity, status, date and description.

In this panel, you will find various actions that you can use to work on

these events:

Click on “Acknowledge Events” to mark the events that you have

read.

■

Choose “Delete Events” to remove unwanted events.

■

Click on “Export Events” to file to save the data in the current

window as a Microsoft Excel format, a HTML format or a CVS

format.

■

When you click on “Show Device” it will open the Mapping feature

and directly point you to the device.

■

Sort the events by clicking any of the column headings in which you

want the events to be arranged.

■

Double-click on a Filter to open a separate tab in the Event Viewer

panel.

■

“Print Events” will only print what is currently shown on the Event

Viewer panel.

■

Click on “Print Preview” to view the data that you are about to print.

MANAGE FILTERS

This powerful filtering system of ECView Pro Platform provides a quick and

easy way to find, sort and work with the large number of various trap

events received. Creating a new filter, or simply selecting a previously

made filter, will display only the events that meet the rules you have

specified in the filter and hides the events that does not meet the filter

rules.

Click the Manage Filter icon or select Events > Manage Filters to

open the Manage Filters wizard.
